Day 10

Oggi è stata una giornata faticosa...

Today was a hard day... We woke up as usual, and then we go to the camp. I worked near the barrack kitchen, where we have transported trees and branches to the car park. At lunch we had a typical German meal: “Milchreis mit Apfelmuss” (made by kind of rice pudding, cinnamon and apple mousse); it was good, but it was strange to eat sweet thing during the lunch. After we checked the answers of the quiz (about the StaLag VIIIa) that we made on Friday afternoon. When we got back to the dormitory we had time till the 6 pm because we had to go to Mr. Mönnich's restaurant. It was in the South of Görlitz, we went on foot. It's called “Zur Alter Freundschaft”. We had a buffet (it was really NICE) and later we played Kegeln, which is German bowling (quite different from the normal one, the ball is smaller and without holes, and there is a string under that you have to throw the ball). Then we went back to home when… IT STARTED TO RAIN!!! It was a mess! Everyone was wet!
At 10.05 pm we all met in the MAUS and Ola, Aga and Ola explained us a new game. It's called Vampires and it'll last the whole week… You can be a human or a vampire, if you are a vampire you have to, of course, turn the human in vampires, but you can do this only after the 11 pm, and the “victim” has to be all alone.  If you are killed, you have to write your name on a paper sheet in Maus (called Cemetery), and the following night you become a vampire too. Then we could go to bed.                                Like I said it was a hard day… …but beautiful.
