Hello,
Hallo, Ciao, Cześć!
Today
is the day when everyone had to pack and travel back home. We ate
together breakfast, had the second part of the project's evaluation where we summed up everything and had the last forum and then packed our stuff and cleaned our rooms. Then it came
to the worst part… We started to say our goodbyes. First group had to
leave after breakfast, then the second, the third and then the group
from Görlitz. It was a long goodbye with emotions running high and
many tears.
During the
past two weeks every member of this workshop experienced something
extraordinary. From day one, we learned our names, then who the
people we live and work with are. We got to know different cultures,
history, traditions as well as knew words in various languages. We
experienced team work and that we can trust other people, we also
discovered new talents. I think I can speak for everybody when I say
that during this workshop we developed. People from different
countries, social backgrounds with different interests created one
harmonious group that achieved something special – we built a
bridge between the past and the present. Through our work at StaLag VIIIa
and Prisoners of War and Oliver Messiaen will not be forgotten.
This
is the last note in our Workcamps’ Diary but it is only of many
important notes in your lifes’ diaries. Hopefully we will meet next
year.
Yours
sincerely
Ola
